 Additional Information
Last Known Activity:

If you ever served with Jack then you probably know me.  I'm Jacks son.
Or at least I might know you.  If you stop in, drop me a line.  I was raised on Air Force bases from Otis AFB on Cape Cod Mass to Elmendorf AFB in Alaska.

I joined the Marine Corps in 1972 and got out in 1976.  It was a hard time being in the Corps during those years, Viet Nam and all.

I am a member of Marines TWS so if you'd like stop in there and visit.

If you knew my dad I would love to hear from you.
If you find anything on here that you don't agree with, let me know.  I want this to be an accurate account of my fathers military career.

Other Comments:

Jack died of cancer on July 1st, 1997.  He was diagnosed with lung cancer in Febuary and was given 6 months.  The doctor was spot on.  Dad was ready when he went.  He was buried on the 4th of July.
He had a military funeral and was buried at Woodland cemetary outside of Wright Patterson Air Force base where he retired to. There were several hundred people in attendace.  About one hundred bikers from a local club showed up.  There was a wake afterwards at the Aerie Eagles club in Huber Hights, Ohio where Jack served as president and treasurer before he fell ill.  Several toasts where made and a few tears where shed.  Dad didn't want people to cry at his funeral.  He wanted it to be more a celebration of his life.  Jack lived large while he was here and the world will be less interesting without him and his stories.
I loved my dad very much and miss him.  I think about him often.  I hope I've made him proud.
I know I'm proud to call him my father.
May he rest in peace along with my mother, Darlyn.  She was the love of his life.
