Other Memories Prior to my graduate's studies, I worked at the Spokane VA Medical Center as a surgical RN. My goal was to advance within the VA Medical System and to do that a Master's Degree in Health Administration would be extremely beneficial. Following completion of my graduate studies, I was rehired by the Spokane VA Medical Center as the RN Supervisor of the Oncolgy and Respriatory Care Unit. Two years were spent in that position when I applied for and was selected to establish and manage the Medical Center's Quality Assurance and Utilization Program. My MBA studies served me well in the capacity of Quality Management and over the next thirteen years, my staff was instrumental in the Accreditation Process of the hospital. I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for eighteen years and retired in 1995.
