Last Known Activity
SSgt. Moneysmith was serving with an Army unit. He was stationed at Phuoc Vinh, South Vietnam. Phuoc Vinh was a small outpost of the 1st Infantry Division. Circumstances of his loss unknown, but his injuries were the result of a mortar attack on the base

He died in the operating room at D company 1st Medical Battalion, 1st Infantry Division.

He was interred in Pleasantville Center Cemetery, Iowa.

Note: The Province in which he was killed was called Song Be back in those days (and became Binh Duong Province in 1997).
