Last Known Activity
SSgt. Moneysmith was serving with an Army unit. He was stationed at Phuoc Vinh, South Vietnam. Phuoc Vinh was a small outpost of the 1st Infantry Division.

He died in the operating room at D company 1st Medical Battalion, 1st Infantry Division.

Circumstances of his loss unknown, but was the result of a mortar attack on the base.

The Province in which he was killed was called Song Be back in those days (and became Binh Duong Province in 1997).

He was interred in Pleasantville Center Cemetery, Iowa.
