Personal Memories
Our Squadron had the F-84 C & G models, real ground huggers. Because of low thrust output of the engines and Luke's short runways,in hot weather, training missions ceased between the hours of noon and 6 p.m. Those of us who had to fix them, just held our breath as we witnessed a lot of long take off rolls.
