Life Member, Past Vice President and Past Treasurer of our Local Volunteer Fire Department. Former Pvt in the 17th Virginia Infantry Co A and Co. D, War Between the States, Living History and Reenacting groups. Proud member of most Veterans Organization.Â
My father got discharged from the US Army Air Force October 7, 1945 and exactly 25 years later on October 7, 1970 I enlisted in the USAF. I never realized it until I saw his DD-214 many years later. What a coincidence.
