MSGT. Franklin L. Bates, USAF (Ret)
WWII / Korea
Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo AL
31 August 2009

Please join us as we honor a great American and Alabamian, who dedicated many years of his life in service to his country. He served for 23 years as a flight-line crew chief, in many theaters during WWII and the Korean conflict. He passed away on January 1, 2009 at age 82, and the Bates family has invited PGR to stand in his honor at the final interment at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. MSGT Bates was also an avid motorcyclist and Harley-Davidson enthusiast.

Burial will take place on Monday, 31 August 2009, 10:15 am

Alabama National Cemetery
3133 Highway 119
Montevallo, AL 35115

Patriot Guard Riders will stand a flagline at the interment ceremony

Staging at the Alabama National Cemetery at 9:30 am

A small PGR escort will accompany the family from Hoover, AL to the ALNC. There will be no LEO escort, so this PGR group is being limited for safety reasons.

RCIC: Charles "Rainman" Davidson (family escort)
