Last Known Activity Captain Kevil was a member of the famous USAF Thunderbirds F-84G "Thunderjets" stationed at Luke Air Force Base, known as the 3600th Air Demonstration Unit.
He graduated from Ballinger High School in May 1945. He entered military service 29 August 1946 and served in combat in Korea as an F-80 fighter pilot. (no other details). He and his family moved to Luke AFB when he joined the Thunderbirds.
He was killed during a solo training practice session 11 December 1954, 6 miles south of Morristown, Arizona.
He was interred in San Francisio National Cemetery (The Presidio), California on 17 December 1954, in Plot Section Osa Row 90 Site 1. He was a husband and the father of three children.
