"Airman Second Class Yamakawa was a crew member of a B-26B Invader Bomber with the 37th Bomber Squadron, 17th Bomber Wing. On October 29, 1952, while on a day interdiction of the enemy main supply route, his aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on October 15, 1953. His remains were not recovered.
