Last Known Activity
He enlisted in the USAAF in 1942, trained in the US, then flew combat missions in Europe in P-61 Black Widow night fighters. He was credited with 1 probable shoot-down of a JU-88.
He and his radar observer, T/Sgt Richard Heggie, were killed when their aircraft crashed in fog.
He is buried in Belgium and also memorialized in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, IN.
