Last Known Activity
Sergeant Spence was flying with the 6166th Weather Reconnaissance Flight that was lost on February 22, 1952.  The contact with the crew was lost over Pyongyang, North Korea.  Sergeant Spence was assigned to the 30th Weather Squadron.  He was listed as missing in action and presumed dead on December 31, 1953.

Sergeant Spence was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
