Last Known Activity
In WWII, he was CO of the 388th Fighter Squadron, deputy CO of the 365th Fighter Group, and was credited with 6 aerial victories, the most in the 365th. In 1948 he resigned his commission to run for political office. He was elected as a US Representative and served in Congress from Jan 3, 1949 until his death in an aircraft accident at Kirtland AFB, NM Apr 20.
