Last Known Activity
On Jan 21, 1945 he had engine trouble and went missing over northern Yugoslavia during a bomber escort mission to attack oil storage facilities near Vienna, Austria.  He was officially declared dead Jan 22, 1946. He was posthumously promoted to 2nd Lt. His remains were not recovered.
