Last Known Activity
On Mar 20, 1945 he bailed out of his P-51B near Wels, Austria because of mechanical problems. He became a POW. 
On Oct 17, 1951 he was killed when his P-51D took a direct hit from anti-aircraft fire and crashed in flames near Choso-ri, North Korea.
His body was not recovered; he is memorialized in Honolulu.
