Last Known Activity

While on a mission to bomb Japanese ships in Brunei Bay, Borneo, he was badly wounded by enemy fire from those ships. He was given morphine and helped to bail out by his crew. His parachute did not open and he fell to his death in some trees where some of his crew found his body.
