Crew member of B-29A Superfortress bomber with 93rd Bomber Squadron, 19th Bomber Wing. While on bombing mission on January 23, 1952 engine died and contact lost when plane was between Okinawa and South Korea. Listed MIA and presumed dead February 28, 1954, remains never recovered. Awarded Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
