 Additional Information
Last Known Activity
His B-24 was shot down by enemy fighters during a bombing mission to Gotha, Germany. It is unclear whether he was fatally wounded by fire from the fighters, from hitting a propellor or other part of the aircraft while bailing out, or by crashing to the ground. He died a few minutes after landing near Dippach, Germany.
He was the only crewmember killed. The other 9 survived and became POW's.
