Last Known Activity
Prior to entering the AAC, 1st LT. Robert Richey was a public accountant in Wellsburg, West Virginia. He had received his degree from the University of West Virginia where he had participated in the Army cadet program.

He was killed in action on 7 December 1941, during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was assigned to Hq and Hq Squadron, 11th Bombardment Group, Hickam Field, "The Grey Geese:.

Initially interred in the Schofield Barracks Cemetery until re-interred in the Punchbowl in 1949.
