Last Known Activity According to the Vietnam Security Police Association, Inc website, The Viet Nam Casualty Book (Non Hostile) reads "SOUTH VIETNAM (B1): On 14 Apr 69, TSgt Royce H. Adams, (Note: I've left the AF number off), was killed when the security police vehicle in which he was riding went out of control and rolled over after skidding on wet pavement."
"I was a member of the 366th SPS, Cobra Flight when TSgt Adams was to replace our Flight Chief TSgt Ratliff who was soon to PCS back to the states. I was introduced to TSgt Adams as He was to be the new Flight Chief to replace TSgt Ratliff. I was also due to return to the US shortly myself. It seems that TSgt Ratliff and TSgt Adams, his replacement were in a jeep together as Ratliff was showing the Base to Adams and the vehicle rolled over and TSgt Adams was killed. Although I had Met TSgt Adams He was new to Viet Nam and I had already left to return to the US prior to the accident. TSgt Ratliff was a fine man and from meeting TSgt Adams it seems He would have been a great replacement on Cobra Flight. "
