Last Known Activity

He was lost during a night bombing mission over Hanoi after his B-52D was hit by a SAM. He and 2 others were later determined to be KIA while 3 others became POW's and were released in 1973.
He was promoted from Maj. to Col. while on MIA status. His remains were returned to the US in 1989 and buried in Kansas. He is also memorialized in Inkom Cemetery, Inkom, ID.
