Last Known Activity C-130B Tail #61-2648 Crashed into Thon Canh Duong Mountain (23 souls onboard). boots date 21 Feb 67 7th Air Force 463rd Tactical Airlift Wing 773rd Tactical Airlift Squadron -------- Airmen who perished in Thua Thien province that day were: Lt Col Christopher Braybrooke, pilot Maj Robert W. Anderson, co-pilot Capt Scott Burkett, navigator TSgt Cloyce Burkett, crew chief A1C Terry Rehm, loadmaster A2C Ronald Ruyff, loadmaster Several Marines and Army personnel must have been aboard the flight as well, but am only able to confirm Marine Sgt. Donald Wilkinson at this time (MSB 15 Jun 09). -------- From Wikipedia list of C-130 crashes: October 8, 1967 : C-130B 61-2649, c/n 3692, of the 773rd Troop Carrier Squadron, 463rd Troop Carrier Wing, hit mountain 25 kilometers southeast of Phu Bai/Hue, South Vietnam. -------- From Tail Number Roster: 2649 (c/n 282-3692, 773rd TAS) crashed into mountain after taking off from Phu Bai, SVN Oct 12, 1967. All 23 onboard killed.
