Comments/Citation from the vvmf.org site:
"DaNang, 1971; its Hot, all day, all night, Cat, Darrel, Felix and me. Sitting on the roof watching gunships pour liquid metal from the night sky, a red waterfall. White streaks over Monkey Mountian, rockets on their way in. Waiting to see who will be the last to jump off the roof and hug the earth, playing chicken with death. The safest place? in the reinforced plane hanger, 2 feet of concrete all around and behind. a direct hit thru the entrance, a randem shot and the last cat is gone."
