Last Known Activity

On Dec 21, 1972 his B-52G (tail #58-0198) flying from Guam was hit by an SA-2 SAM after bombing its target. He was declared MIA until Jun 9, 1977 when he was declared "Died While Missing". Sources differ as to whether he was promoted to MSgt, TSgt, or SSgt. His remains were recovered Dec 15, 1988 and identified Apr 18, 1989 but their present location is unknown.
