SSgt. Peter R Coyman served with the 815th Troop Carrier Squadron,315th Air Division out of TACHIKAWA JAPAN.

He was killed aboard a C-130A (#57-0475) near Korat RTAFB, Thailand along with a crew of 5 others. The aircraft developed engine trouble, losing 2 engines, and crashed into a mountain in poor weather conditions following a go around. It had been returning from a flare drop "Blind Bat" mission.
