Last Known Activity
His aircraft was shot down and crashed near Kontum, South Vietnam. Years later the site was discovered and crew remains were recovered. His and his crewmates' commingled remains were interred in Arlington Apr 3, 1997 in Section 34 Grave 667-A. His individual remains were buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA in Section V Site 2901. There is also a Cruz Avenue at Hurlburt Field, FL named in his honor.
