Last Known Activity

He was killed in the crash of a CH-3E (#66-13295) "Knife" while on a resupply airdrop near Khe Sanh. It was lost in a rugged mountainous, jungle covered area when it descended beneath the cloud cover. The wreckage was seen by the escorting A-1E aircraft.   This was the first combat loss of the unit during the war.
