 Additional Information
Last Known Activity
While in college, Captain Gallup spent the summers in Montana as a Smoke Jumper, fighting fires.

In Vietnam, he served as an A-1E pilot with the 1st Air Commando Squadron, Bien Hoa AB.

He was involved in a head on collision in his A-1E.  He bailed out, but his chute failed to open. An irony in knowing how many parachute drops he had made in his lifetime.

Notes:

Received his under graduate pilot training at Bainbridge, Georgia (Class 59-E).

3550th Pilot Training Wing, Moody AFB, Georgia for further pilot training (F-86L)

61st Fighter Squadron at Truax Field, Madison, Wisconsin. (1960-2)  (F-102A)

"Express 10" Skyraider Class at Hurlburt Field (Eglin AF Aux 1), Florida (1965)
