Note: Although officially Capt. Krawczyk is credited with 18 yrs of service, he did enlist in the U.S. Army on 19 Feb 1945 at Fort Banks Boston as a Private. Source: U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946, Ancestry.com He likely had a break in service after World War II and enlisted in the Army/Air Corps/Air Force in about 1950.
