Last Known Activity
Then Captain Lillund was the EWO of an F-105F "Wild Weasel" piloted by Major Morris L. McDaniel that was lost approximately 10 miles northwest of Phu Tho, Vinh Phu Province, North Vietnam (near the Lang Con railroad bridge in RP-5).
His remains were not recovered. He is memorialized in Honolulu and on a cenotaph at Hildegard Cemetery, Conover, WI, where his parents are buried.
