Last Known Activity
Major Lodge had a distinguished professional career winning several prestigious awards and acquiring several outstanding decorations for his courage and diligence as a USAF airman. He was credited with shooting down 3 MiG aircraft, one at night. His aircraft was brought down by cannon fire of a MiG-19 flown by a PRVN ace pilot. (See USAF Academy profile below)

Though listed as MIA, his remains were returned 30 September 1977.

He was awarded 5 Silver Stars, 7 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 37 Air Medals among other medals.  He was awarded the Jabara Award by the USAF Academy in 1974. He had served 2 tours in Vietnam and was in the midst of a tour extension when he was lost.
