 Additional Information
Last Known Activity
He and his pilot, Col. (then Maj.) Gilbert S. Palmer Jr., were shot down during an unarmed photo-recon mission. The crash site in Laos near the North VietNam border was not found until 1999. Some of Col. Palmer's remains were found but it can not be learned at this time if some of Col. Wright's were as well.
He was promoted to colonel while in MIA status. He is memorialized in Arlington and in Court A of the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
