Private Robert Arguello was killed while being held as a Prisoner of War on May 22, 1942, by Japanese Forces at Camp O'Donnell, Luzon, Philippines. 

He was assigned to Nichols Field and served in the 21st Pursuit Squadron, 24th Pursuit Group.
