Other Memories
In fall of 54 attended NFL preseason game in Spokane and heard the name, position, introduction of Homer Smith. We played HS football together: Omaha, Ne. Benson. He didn't make the team but did just fine in the media, as coach of the Black Knights from 1974-78. He coached at Stanford, Air Force, Alabama, Arizona, and Kansas City Chiefs, as well as serving three stints as offensive coordinator UCLA. Army Times 4/14/14 I remember him will, he was a good man.
