The Son (Brent) of Air Force, Army, and Army Reserve Veteran Robert Clemensen, has asked us to Honor his Father at his Funeral at Peace Lutheran Church, Ashby, MN on Saturday Oct. 31st at 11:00 am.

Bob told his family that he liked what we do, and was Proud of us for doing it. Lets show his Family that we are Proud of his Service to our Country.

Staging: 9:00 am, at the gas station across from Thrifty White Drug, County hwy 82 and 4 in Ashby.

Briefing: 9:20 then short drive (2 blocks) to the Church. Peace Lutheran Church, 306 Larson Ave. http://tinyurl.com/yzemfak

Flag Line: 9:30 until the Funeral starts at 11:00. Reestablish Flagline before the Service is over, then move to the Cemetery to setup again.

Dismissal: when the Family has left the area. RCIC's discretion.

Obituary:

Robert Clemensen

Robert DWaine was born on September 1, 1938 in Fergus Falls, MN to parents James Kenneth and Hazel Arline (Amundson) Clemensen. Robert was baptized at the Pelican Lake Lutheran Church and was confirmed in 1953. Robert graduated from Ashby High School in 1956.

On September 18, 1956, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until July 13, 1960 and was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. He then enlisted in the U.S Army and served from 1961 to 1964. Following his discharge from the U.S. Army, he served in the Army Reserve out of Fergus Falls, retiring after 31 years.

Robert married MaryAnn Bamberg on January 22, 1966. Together they lived on a farm in Pelican Lake Township where they raised their family and farmed. He also worked for area farmers and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Vikings fan and really enjoyed when his grandchildren visited. Robert was a member of the Ashby American Legion and he participated in many functions. He was also a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Ashby, MN.

On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, Robert Clemensen died at the age of 71 years at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN.

He is survived by his three daughters, Dawn (Lee) Langei of Arthur, ND, Denise Bursch of West Fargo, ND, and Shayla (Jeffery) Kleindl of West Fargo, ND; one son, Brent (fianc� Teshia) of Ashby, MN; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Donovan) Robertson of Ashby, MN, and Jeanann Odegaard of Underwood, MN; and two brothers, James of Big Lake, AK, and Richard (Norma) of Ashby, MN.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Timothy Robert; and one sister, Lois.
