The EC-47 Association is a non-profit organization of people involved with the Mission of the EC-47 as is was carried out in Southeast Asia, 1966 - 1974.
These folks include the flight crews, both the front end crewmembers of the three (3) Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadrons, (TEWS), the 360th, the 361st and the 362nd.
The back end crewmembers of the 6994th Security Squadron (SS) and it's Detachments, Det.1, Det.2 and Det.3.
The maintenance people who maintained the aircraft and its systems and the special mission equipment carried aboard the aircraft.The preservation of the memories of the time we served on the EC-47 and the friendships we made while working under the most adverse conditions in the performance of a most valued contribution to the conflict in Southeast Asia.
To reunite and reaquaint old friendships and keep them alive through a cohesive bond through the association and the regular reunions of the people who made up the mission personnel. The next reunion is being planned for May, 2002 in Dayton, Ohio. Begin planning now to make this reunion.
To provide and maintain a line of communications between the members of the association and to help and assist in the location of personel and or information relating to the EC-47 Mission.
To preserve the history of these people, the aircraft and the mission performed, for the generations to come. To let the world know that the job we did, we did with pride and dignity in a time of great unrest. We came to the call of our country and abided by the governing laws of the time. We did our assigned jobs and we did them very well.
