Best Moment
They were all pretty good! Saw lots of the beautiful "old world" charm in Germany, Switzerland & the Netherlands.
Worst Moment
While getting ready to leave I cross trained into heavy equipment operations & ended up doing lots of hot sweaty work on fixing the runways and cleaning out the dry wells.
Chain of Command
Too many to remember but started with General Sadler as wing commander.
Other Memories
Married my first wife in Basel Switzerland, she was one of the first WAF's to come to Rhein-Main.

Achieved as a Security Police augmentee at Rhein-Main AFB, Germany
Best Moment
Realizing this duty station would be nothing like basic training or tech school. This would be my home.
Worst Moment
Realizing that the biggest majority of time was spent drinking & wishing you were back stateside as you felt so alone in a country so foreign to the ways of Texas
Chain of Command
CMSgt White Lt. Roach Sgt. Roger Bush Msgt. Ray Cook Tsgt Zadroga
Best Moment
Seeing the Rocky mountains & base liberty going into Denver.
Worst Moment
Being called in front of the squadron CO for laughing at the 2nd Lt. doing inspections of our barracks. Our room failed miserably due to a bawdy song that John sang just before the Lt. came into our room. All 4 of us in the room had used 5 day deodarant pads to shine our shoes to a mirror polish but the only catch was you could not move or they would crack. We laughed so hard we fell on the floor & were written up because of it.
Other Memories
Having blanket parties for unliked barracks members. Sneeking into their rooms at night & wrapping them in a blanket & throwing them in the dumpster behind the barracks on those freezing, snowy Denver nights.

Best Moment
The 1st base pass & going to the bx with buddies/we were housed in the old barracks about 2 or 3 blocks from the mess hall. The new ones were being occupied I think but not sure. Everything we did was in the older part of the base.
Worst Moment
1st morning in boot camp being in the bottom bunk & having the whole thing turned over by the drill instructor when we did not jump up fast enough. The other worst moment was being assigned to clean the headquarters building near the front gate. The women's restroom was trashed it seemed by those using it at that time. Kotex stuck on the wall & mess on the toilet. The Colonel that was one of the big wigs at the headquarters building told us to leave it alone & he would be sure the next morning that the WAFS & civiilian females would clean it themselves.
Instructors
SSGT Lewis is only one I remember
Other Memories
getting on a plane at San Antonio airport heading to Lowry AFB in Denver.
Your memories of this course
Lowry was a great place to be stationed & I loved the snow! Going into Denver was lot's of fun & it would have been a great permanent duty.
Watching the T-38 trainers take off from the runway & just to hear the scream of those jet engines
Being told that the base was closing & I could either take an early out or get reassigned elsewhere.
