He was an excellent pilot, I think he graduated first in our class was nicknamed "Mother Bear" because he use to describe his landing technique as " You just honk that mother bear around and grease it on". He drew a Thud assignment after graduation the ony F-105 slot available the rest were F-4s and many motors. I learned of his shoot down while at Da Nang. As far as I knowm he was the only classmate we lost, but he was the best". Stan Usinowicz
