Army air Force Technicians Badge: AAF enlisted technicians and mechanics have been authorised to wear a distinctive silver badge indicating the skills in which they are qualified. Qualifications" At least 6 months service in the AAF and either grasduation from an authorised course in techical training or evidence of capability in one or more of the following 24 specialties for which the badge has been designated: Airplane Armorers, airplane electrical, hydraulic and instrument specialsisty, airplane mechanic, machinist, metal worker and welder, airplane power plant specialisty, airplane propeller specialist, ACS Radio Specialist, bombsight mechanic, Link Trainer instructor, parachute rigger,photographer, photgraphic labratory technician, power turret and gunsight specialist, radio V-1 mechanic, radio V-1 observer, radio mechanic, radio operator, teletype writer mechanic, weather forecaster, observer."
