Service Photo

from  1970-1970, 23152, 463rd Tactical Airlift Wing  album
I was a combat cameraman/door gunner flying on an HH-53 in formation with Jolly Green 71 when it was shot down over North Vietnam by a MiG 21 on 28 Jan 70 during a search and rescue mission. I still wear a POW/MIA bracelet in memory of SSgt Gregory L. Anderson, a close friend of mine, who was a combat cameraman/door gunner on Jolly Green 71. I took this photo of Greg when I was an airman first class in our barracks at Udorn Royal That AFB, Thailand, in 1969. I will never forget his sacrifice! Jeffrey K. Whitted, Captain, USAF (retired) jwhitted@satx.rr.com
