Memories For This Unit

Best Moment
Going to California Military Academy and firing the LAWS Rocket, the 50 and 60 caliber machine guns.

Worst Moment
Not completing the California Military Academy.

Other Memories
I was Gun Chief on an 8" Howitzer and we went for our two week summer camp at Fort Irwin in May of 1980. My gun was rated the #1 gun. We also received the Red legs Association Award for outstanding service for our Annual training at Fort Irwin.
