Captain Charles Lee Hoskins was reported missing Feb 16,1971 while on an operational mission in Laos. The F-4D aircraft he was co-piloting apparently was struck by hostile fire and crashed in a ball of fire. No parachutes were seen and no beepers were heard. His status was changed to Killed in Action on Nov 27, 1973. Captain Hoskins was a Mason, Scottish Rite. He was also a National Honor Society member. His rank status is unclear. Most sources say he was a 1st Lt. when killed and only posthumously promoted to captain but a photo of him receiving his Air Medal shows him wearing captain's bars.
