Other Memories During my last few months of active duty, I was assigned to escort an AF buddy and his family who were coming back from leave; he had taken seriously ill on his return trip from Arkansas and required someone to drive his car the rest of the way. His wife couldn't drive and they had a small baby. This was a case of us looking out for our own, and I was honored to have been selected to do this.
