Captain Vincent Scott served with the 480th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 37th Tactical Fighter Wing at Danang AB, RVN. His tour began on 15 August 1968. He was lost on operations over Laos in his F-4D (#0649). His body was not recovered.

He is memorialized in the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, Hawaii, and at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, Richmond, VA.
