Marian J. Toevs

After graduating on December 17, 1943, from basic training, Marion reported to Lemoore Army Air Base in California. She was only one of two WASPs sent there for BT-15 engineering/test flying. On a routine flight from Lemoore to Fresno in a BT-13, she crashed.

Marian was born and raised in Aberdeen, Idaho. She learned to fly while attending Eastern Washingtion State College. She had two older and two younger brothers.
