He and his WSO were lost when their RF-4C was shot down 5 mi SW of Dong Hoi, Quang Binh Province, North Vietnam. His remains were not recovered; he is memorialized in Honolulu.

This Veteran has an (IMO) In Memory Of Headstone in Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, Hawaii.
