Other Memories There was a transition to the newer AFSC's in the SERE Career Field starting in the late 80's. The old 921X0 changed to 121X0 and then to the 1T0X1. Also, the USAF adopted the rocker above the Msgt-Cmsgt levels in 1987-88 time frame. My AFSC was A121X0RS then A121X0AS. These are A (Aircrew), RS (Rescue Support), AS (Aircrew Support) designations.
