What are you doing now:
I am presently the Director of the Veterans Affairs Office in Shelby County, Iowa. I work part time at this position, three days a week. This is a rewarding position as I get to help fellow veterans get the benefits that they so deserve.
Before I took the Veterans Affairs position I was the Sheriff of Shelby County for twenty four years. Before being elected Sheriff, I served Shelby County as a Deputy Sheriff for thirteen and a half years. Total years in the Sheriff's Office was thirty seven and a half years. I retired from the Sheriff's Office on December 31, 2008.
