Other Memories After returning from Vietnam I served with the 93rd Avionics Maintenance Squadron, 93rd Bomb Wing (SAC) at Castle AFB, California. At the time it was flying the B-52 Stratofortress of the D/E/F/G models as well as the KC-135A Stratotanker. The unit was also conducting training for pilots and aircrews who were only qualified on the E, F, G, and H models of the B-52 to fly the B-52D model, which was the variant being used over the skies of Southeast Asia at the time.
