ACCESS is Alternative Community Correctional Educational Service and Support. This is for high school students who for various reasons have not be functioning properly in the regular high school program.
Best Moment Visit by 2nd Lt. Tom Smith, who was stationed at Sculthorpe, England with me. He recommended I apply for OCS. While at Lowry I worked at the base refuling aircraft from 4 pm to 12 am and at a private mental hospital from 7 am to 3 pm. Air Force pay was not real great. Our daughter was born in November 1956 at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver.
Other Memories Was talked out of accepting a promotion to Technical Sergeant by my squadron commander. He told me since I was going to OCS I should turn down the promotion. Out of fear of losing my selection I signed off on the promotion. It was not an ethical or proper act by my commander.
