Little is known about him. He earned his wings in 1930, flew the US Mail in 1934, and was killed in the crash of a Beechcraft AT-10 Wichita that he was flight testing at Wichita AAF, KS. Coincidentally, AT-10's were later used extensively at his namesake base. Valdosta Airfield, GA was renamed Moody AAF (later AFB) in his honor on Dec 6, 1941.
