Austin, Donald Edward age 79, a resident of Clermont, Florida died Wednesday, October 13 from complications of Parkinsons Disease. He was born on March 22, 1931 in Freedom, New York and was raised in Holland, New York. He was an Eagle Scout and the valedictorian of the class of 1948 of Holland Central High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduation and served his country for 22 years. He served as a flight engineer during the Vietnam conflict and retired as a senior master sergeant in 1969. He was employed by Transamerica DeLaval as a service manager for 19 years. He retired to Florida in 1994 where he enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening. He is predeceased by his parents Earl Austin and Laura Schreiber. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Theresa Ann Austin of Clermont, Florida; daughter Ramona Archambault and her husband Wayne of Wrentham, Massachusetts; daughter Lori Austin and her husband William Lovin of Frisco, Texas; and daughter Lucie Grant and her husband William Grant of Apopka, Florida; six grandchildren, Deana Archambault and Paul Archambault of Wrentham, Massachusetts, Robert Lovin of Frisco, Texas and Eric Grant, Joey Grant and Tera Grant of Apopka, Florida. He is also survived by his brother Gene Austin of Gilbert, Arizona and his sister Lucille Braun of Shokan, New York. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 17 from 4-6PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, October 18 at 10:30AM at the funeral home.
